"Drive-in" garbage collection notice Drive-ins: Pick-ups will not be made where vehicles and/or other obstacles prevent trucks from turning around safely. Trucks will not enter driveways where low or protruding branches create a hazard. All drive-ins must be maintained at 12. ft. wide by 12 ft. high. Pot holes and dips must be repaired. Pick-ups cannot be made in driveways where trucks cannot turn around. Drive-in Collection: This practice cannot be passed on to subsequent owners or newly- constructed homes. All containers must be placed at the curb for pick-up. Drive-ins: Must be plowed and/or sanded when needed or trucks will not enter; so we suggest that you place your cans at the curb. Trucks will not return to make a pick-up if a driveway is blocked or if a resident does not place garbage out on time. All garbage must be in covered containers not to exceed 32 gallon capacity, weight limit 50 lbs. Empty containers must be removed by the evening of the collection day. All garbage must be out by 7AM. Newspapers, magazines, and corrugated cardboard must be kept separate from regular garbage. Also clean metal cans, plastic containers and clean glass item. All these items go out at the curb on your recycling day. Metal items (washers, dryers, etc.) can be picked up for recycling only after calling the Highway Department at 549-8880 and making arrangements. Bulk items:
Please only place one bulk item out per week on your 2nd
pick-up day. Only one item will be
taken at that time. DO NOT PLACE MORE ITEMS OUT THAN ALLOWED EXCESS AMOUNTS OF
TRASH MUST BE DISPOSED OF BY HOMEOWNER. Residents and/or contractors are responsible for removal of all construction debris and yard waste. NOTE: No bulk item pick-up will be made from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
